Sorry we’ve been away so long, but things have gotten busy! Which is a very good thing. We should be posting the reports on a regular basis, every Tuesday, from here on out. We say that knowing that things come up and our clients’ needs come first, so if we miss a couple of days, please understand. The real estate market hasn’t changed very much other the past six months. We are still seeing more new listings coming on the market with very few properties selling. Still a great time to buy, as prices are coming down and interest rates are still very good. We’ll be posting about interest rates and buying opportunities this week, but don’t be surprised to start seeing interest rates going up soon. If you are on the fence about buying, right now may be the time to get off of it and take advantage of a great opportunity.

The March Market Action Report is now available by clicking the link below. The report outlines the real estate market activity for Baker County for March. This is a great report to see how many homes have sold for the month, what the average and median sales prices, number of listings, etc. You will also be able to compare it to past totals. This report is a must to stay informed on the Baker City real estate market.
We are hoping to digest the information and comment on it in a post early next week.

Very nice week for the Baker City real estate market! Some nice, new listings, four pending sales and four closed sales. We’ll have to see how the coming weeks are going to go before we can really herald a definite market improvement, but we’ll take what we can get. The weather is supposed to be very nice for this weekend and into next week and, hopefully, that means lots of buyers out looking at houses. Tomorrow we will be posting the March Market Action Report. It will be interesting to see how March’s numbers were compared to last year…

The Baker City real estate market remains steadily active for last week. More new listings and four pending sales. Of the two solds that are showing in the report, only one property closed last week. The property on Pocahontas Rd. closed last year, but was not entered into the Multiple Listing Service. Historically, we should be getting increased buying activity through April and May leading into the busiest months for the Baker City real estate market, June through October. Keep checking back for more market information and other helpful information.

More new listings for the past week in the Baker City real estate market. Only one pending sale and no closed sales during the week, which isn’t that unusual for this time of year. Poor weather during most of the week gave way to a nice Friday and Saturday. This is definitely a great time for buyers; a lot of very nice homes on the market at good prices and interest rates that dipped below 5% for a 30-year fixed mortgage. Those that are in the position to buy may be getting the opportunity of a generation. Come back and check the Baker City real estate blog for news updates and more weekly reports.

The Baker City real estate market continues to increase in terms of activity. Several new listings have appeared in the last week and pending sales have also shown nice numbers. Closed sales are still lagging behind, mainly due to lender delays. We will keep watching the financial news and the Obama Administration for more news on freeing up consumer credit. A new feature that we are adding to the Baker City Real Estate Blog is a New, Pending and Sold Report that will show you the activity in the Baker City real estate market for the previous week. This week’s report covers the week of February 16 to February 22, 2009. We are still seeing light volume for pending and sold properties. Everyone is waiting to see if the Baker City real estate market will be weak or strong for 2009. We are still in the winter season, but should know how active the spring market will be within the next few weeks.
